Safety first

Hi everyone!!!

Pato and I are not overly concerned with safety. Our owners are very responsible and kinda take care of our safety. But we did thought it might be a good idea to know where the firemen can get water. We do not like fire, we do like water!!!

So we went on a walk and found very colorful fire hydrants. I guess firemen like to see pretty colors, maybe that explains why fire trucks are red and have all those colorful lights!!

First let me show you Pato's favorite.

Yes, I agree with Pato, orange is a very pretty color.

But Blue is also very pretty, as you all can see!!
And how about green!!

I really like green, so I like the green fire hydrant too!!!
And the last one we found was white......

Which also looked very nice.
I think it is very sweet of the firemen to color them soooo pretty!!
And I don't know why, but it makes me feel a lot safer, knowing that our whole town is filled with colorful fire hydrants!!

The season of autumn

Hi Everyone! This time of the year some people celebrate the season of harvest and it mostly involves corn and pumpkins. Here is a picture of me with the cornstalks and pumpkins my owner has displayed outside her door. You have to look closely because I am small and I blend in with the scenery. Then my owner let me sit in her autumn leaf wreath that she had hanging on her door.
AND THEN my owner took a picture with me and a statue of my friend, the polar bear. It was also surrounded by autumn leaves. I really like my friend the polar bear.
At harvest time people like to eat turkeys. The day that they do that on is Thanksgiving Day when everyone thinks and talks about all the things they are thankful for. Or at least that is what they are supposed to do. I am thankful for my owner who likes to take neat pictures of me in different settings. :0) Looks like I have some relatives in that picture I am sitting on front of!!
Then while on a walk with our friend, Bata, and her owner, we took some pictures of autumn scenes throughout our town. Isn't this a pretty tree? See how tiny I am next to it?

Yes, that is me, the microscopic yellow dot sitting in the middle of the doorway to the front porch of this awesome victorian house.

And last but not least, one more picture of me with an autumn/harvest scene in someone's front yard. Don't I look cute?
As you can see, lots of people around here "get into" the harvest season. It is my owner's favorite time of year (especially because of the colorful leaves and cooler temperatures). It has become my favorite time of year too. Happy Harvest to all of you!

Until next time,

I remain,

Pato

Here I am again!

It has been a (very looonnggg) while since my last piece of writing over here. But here I am again!

I still didn't tell you the story about what followed after I was attacked by the wolf and the lion. Well, first I've had some Apfelkorn to forget about the pain.

Well... After that I really wanted to visit a duckdoctor, but Nouk-Nouk thought that wasn't necessary (she can't help being a duck-nitwit) and didn't want to take me there. So I asked someone else. I'm sooooo glad I found someone who wanted to join me to the doctor. The doctor was actually a really nice doc and he treated me well. After he took care of my head and my chest, he gave me two plasters for my tail and my right wing. I asked him to please cast my tail aswell, because my tail was really hurting very bad. But he didn't. Bad doc.

But after that a few weeks at the couch followed. I did some reading and some sleeping and I watched TV a lot. And, as Nouk-Nouk promised me, Nouk has read some books to me. I insisted on reading just books with pictures in it. Unfortunately she owns almost no books with any text AND visuals in it, so, in this case... Andy Warhol. Sucks. Don't ever-ever-EVER read that as a duck!

NO! Oh please... Do I have to do like EVERYTHING all by myself? Nouk-Nouk can't even take a picture of me and the book during the reading all at the same time. Yo, Nouk, I'm here..!

That's better.

Oh, and in the meantime we moved over to the other side of the country. Look at all this space! Unfortunately Nouk-Nouk has already moved over all of her stuff by now. So all that empty space is already non-existant at the time of writing.

Okay, bye for now and I promise to write again very soon!

Smarty!

So many birthday parties left me with a lot of empty smarties boxes. A creative duck knows how to handle those. So this is what i did:

King of the castle. Not much of a castle though.

Damned! Boxed myself in...

Breaking things is fun too.

It appears you can have other fun with the boxes! Appearently Smarties are not only good for rotting your teeth.

See you later guys and don't forget about a true duck's way of life...
