Haven't been posting in a while.... (As usual). I figured no-one would be waiting to see yet more images of a Duck in the Climbing center...

But have some pics to share again.

Turns out there are more cafés in Enschede you can visit on Sunday evening then just "Jansen en Janssen".
Been to "Het Bolwerk" a while back. While they don't have Grolsch there, the beer is very drinkable:

So it didn't take me very long to get in a festive mood:

Therefore, images of later that night turned out rather blurry, and won't be posted here...

Also, last week I went on a trip to Amsterdam. Since I'm a bit small to travel by myself, I was accompanied by Purple:

Not too sure about the leash though.

Off course, when traveling by train, one must take the time to enjoy the view:

When the trip got us tired, we rested a bit in a kinda hammock. Was a nice lady in there with us as well...

Another update on my life.

When strawling on the first floor I took a peek in the bathroom and couldn't resist looking at myself in the mirror.

I heard something in the tub and there were a whole bunch of guys talking, so I went in there for a chat.

Walking a bit further I came across the room where they have stored the books during the "fixing up the livingroom" thing.

And in the corner of the bookroom there was the grim reaper. And actually he was very nice to me. And fun too!

Then she came in and took me out of the hands of the reaper and cuddled me for a while, she thought the reaper had scared me...I just enjoyed the moment and said nothing :-D

Well, that's all for now. Not a lot, I know....no real adventures this time.

Sincerely,
B. D. Duck

The Polar Bear

Hello! My name is Pato. I am new to this blog. I already have a friend here. Her name is Bata. You may have seen my name mentioned in some of her previous postings.

I want to tell you my first story. The other day (a few weeks ago) I met a polar bear for the first time. It was warm weather here so I don't really know how the polar bear could handle the warm temps because I found out that Polar Bears don't like temps over 3 degrees. Yes, I said three degrees.

Anyway, this polar bear seemed very resilient and was also very friendly and affectionate. In all actuality, I am still only a duckling. So I felt a little chilly. The Polar Bear let me cuddle up in her fur which she has a lot of. Also, I am very tiny next to her so you will have to look closely to get a halfway decent glimpse of me.

She was so sweet she could sense how chilly I was so she proceeded to put her arms around me. I felt a lot warmer there.

She is a very nice polar bear. I hope you get to meet her some day.

Not a lonely duck

It may be a little quiet here, I guess all you ducks are preparing for Halloween, and I started to feel a bit lonely. I started to feel like I was the only duck out here!!! But I am NOT.

Of course I met Pato around here, but there are more!!
I met a lot of ducks!!!There was Lila, Sietse, Pino, Kikker and Aphrodite.
They were all so much fun and all live very close to me!! Kikker and I played for hours and she even went home with me.
So when it was time to go home, Kikker and I said goodbye to Lila, Sietse, Aphrodite and Pino. It was only a short goodbye, because we see each other almost every day.
No, I am definitely not a lonely duck!!!

Winter is coming

The days are getting shorter, so I was starting to itch to fly south. It can get really cold here. But flying all alone...No, I do not like that. But now I have decided not to fly south at all.
I found a really nice friend here, PATO. And when our owners heard us talking about escaping the cold, they got to work!!! They let Pato and me look thru a whole stack of fuzzy warm yarn and pick out what we liked!!
And then they worked really hard, while Pato and I where chatting with each other!!

And now Pato and I are ready for a winter here....No, snow can stop us. Oh, I look so forward to snow now. Pato and I will build a snow duck.
And don't we look cute!!
And it is not just very pretty, we were also very warm!!

town

My owner took me to town, it was so cool I got to ride the bike with her and it wasn't even scary (well not much)
Once we had been in and out of at least 20 shops she got so bored she went and bought me a new friend.

Not too sure what to make of him, he insisted he could fly and all. I didn't believe that for one sec, but he was so full of himself I decided to give him a *boost* that was fun!! I'm sure death would have enjoyed it tremendously

weirdly enough after a boost or 4 he kinda got the hang of it, but I still think he's full of hot air.... MEN!!

I'll let him hang out with the rest of em in the bathroom, that way he won't bother me :P

Pretty, pretty, pretty

Today my owner took me to a jewelery party.

And while my owner was drinking coffee and eating cookies with the others, I could not resist too look at all that shiny stuff!!
It was SO shiny, that it even made me look shiny!!!

Yes, of course I had to try some on.
Well? Do I look pretty?
I must admit, it was a bit heavy, but I felt so pretty with the shiny ring around me!!!

Ducks of a feather, flock together . . .

Hello everyone,

I know, know . . . a "donation" once a week . . .
but my owner has been a busy guy . . . and so have I . . .

When I finally came to my senses from my wild balloonride I started to explore my newly aqcuired habitat.

I met some of the locals . . .

Boy this is hard. They're not likely to trust my appearance very soon I'm affraid.

Some ignore me . . .

Some turn their backs . . .

However . . . some of them really don't give a damn.

And some are excellent conversation partners . . .

After that I decided it was time to try the latest Autumn-fashion . . .
Calo presents . . . "legends of the fall" . . .

That's it for now, till next time fellows,

Yours Calo

Hey y'all, I new here!!

Hello everyone!! My name is Bert. Bert D. Duck, the D stands for Dirk. My life with this chaotic family started on tuesday october 2nd 2007. I was just hanging around with some duckfriends on the praxis shelve when all of a sudden SHE showed up. A kid on one arm, a grey bag on the other, totally dressed in black. Kinda gothic I believe. She was looking at me and my friends and then picked me.
She took me home in a plastic bag with some groceries, not really what I'm used to. She took me into a house with hardly any color in it. All white with some black and turquoise. I was impressed by the ammount of books and pictures. There were toys all over the floor!! And kids everywhere too.

She took me out of the plastic bag and put me on the kitchencounter. Lot of alcohol there. But all old bottles and gifts. This family doesn't actually drink it!!

Then she took me out of my bubblehouse and then I met the two goldfish. They seemed really friendly.

She took me into the livingroom were I met her better half with his laptop. His nickname seems to be the "laptop guy". Humans are strange indeed.

After my confersation with the fish and the laptop guy I rested for a while in this big old chair.

I saw some toys on the floor and I jumped to the floor to talk to them a bit. Nice guys.

I saw some interesting magazines on a shelve, I might take a peek at them later. I can use some decorating tips for my new place.

I take a look at the mess on the table. This pretty much shows who she is :-D

I discovered a lot a paintstuff in the kitchen, they are still fixing stuff in the house.

After that I was kind of tired and lookes up a quiet spot on the windowseat to sleep.

That's all for now. Untill the next time!!
Sincerely,
B. D. Duck
