David went missing!

Well, I've done the unthinkable: I've let David off his chain... Now he's lost.

To show the whole community I'm terribly sorry, and also because "they made me do it", here is the official announcement:

My next post will therefore contain another duck then David.
His name is "Eent", but I'm too depressed to post right now...

At work with Nouk!

Okayyyy be prepared... 'cause Nouk has got a new telephone she wants to take pictures of me all the time... After selecting a few she still has got 24 pictures left to share, so here it goes!

On our way to work... We were in the traffic jams all the time, so Nouk-nouk adviced me to have a look how she was doing the driving, and then I could try it after I knew how to do it.

Seemed to be really easy, so I tried it for a moment... It was a bit harder than I thought before; I couldn't see the road. So I just tried it for a moment. I really hate being this tiny!

After we arrived at the parking, Nouk-nouk noticed we arrived a little bit late. No more bus available to drive us to the office, so we had a little (long) walk (and I was freezing!). Somewhere on our way to the office I found these strange people in the grass.. I asked one to play with me, but she didn't even react!

Wow, a pic with me not on it! That's because I tried to take a picture... Not too good with the telephone, I guess. Anyway, that building far, faaaaarrrr away, that's the Canon office. That's soooo impressive! Nouk-nouk's office is soooo close to the Canon office! I want to go there once and have a play with al the REAL cameras over there. I mean, this telephone quality sucks big time.

Finally... This is where we were heading for. This is Thomas' office. Don't know his last name, I think it sounds like cookies but according to Nouk-nouk his name isn't Thomas Cookies. Well, doesn't mind. What I DO know, is that Thomas is a really big guy. Otherwise he wouldn't need to build himself such a big office. I think I'll be meeting him today. Sounds like fun.

Before meeting that Cookies-guy, we first had to do some work. After we arrived, Nouk-nouk told me to look after that girl sitting behind that computer. Nouk-nouk thought she wouldn't be able to do it all on her own so I had to help her a bit. She was very glad that I was there to help her in any difficult situation she could possibly think of. All of that after walking in just like 10 minutes ago! I'm a guru!

Nouk-nouk can't fix it on her own too, so after helping Judith for a few hours (I guess, although, that's what it felt like... Your people-minutes are LONG!) I've fixed some things for Nouk-nouk. Those people can't do anything on their own...

Nouk-nouk could take up her work again, so my new job was to answer the phone. Another thing I'm really good at!

Okay... Maybe that has been a little lie. Maybe I'm not.

New game: trying to close the CD-player while I'm on it. It was really funny, but Nouk-nouk didn't agree on that because I would have almost killed myself without Nouk-nouk sitting there behind her PC to save me from that horrendous disaster. Okay, maybe I should go back to work again...

Have a close look at this... Do you see that? Nouk-nouk is playing games during work! Do I have to call the police now? That must be a crime!

Time to have lunch. Therefor we had to go to another building, just at the other side of the road. My feathers were almost falling off my beautiful purple skin because of the low temperatures. But it was all worth it. That restaurant over there is the Food Walhalla for duckies like me!

I had to try everything eatable during lunch time. I ate that all by myself... I must have gained weight today! Hey, it has been all worth it!

After I finished lunch, I just enjoyed the pretty atmosphere...

And again...

And I tried to make some new friends over here. Unfortunately the cutlery didn't say anything. Just like those stupid heads. I really hate those Hoofddorpish arrogance!

Nouk-nouk told me to stay with her 'cause this would be the most dangerous part. Wait a minute... Did she just say dangerous? I have to try that!

Okay, I should better not have done that. That place was haunted, I swear! I was moving, away from my owner! Heeeeeeeelp!

(please all forgive Nouk-nouk this bad picture, she had to safe a Duck's life.)

When we came back after lunch time, there wasn't much to do. So I decided to just enjoy the view. First to the right, and then...

...to the left. I was looking for that Thomas-guy, but I didn't find him while watching out of the window. I actually didn't find him anywhere.

Just like Nouk-nouk did before lunch time, I decided to play some games after enjoying the view. It's fun!

Then Nouk-nouk showed me what the next issue was going to look like. I'm not looking too interested, do I? I was already wondering what she wanted to show me, but now I see... I just looked in the wrong direction! Hmm... Seems to be pretty interesting. Maybe I have to ask my owner if I can join her another time again if she has to go to work.

Me being very helpfull...

Almost time to go home again. But first I had to take a look at the toilets because I hadn't been there yet. As you can see, I'm a female duck, so I'm visiting the women's toilets. According to Nouk, that didn't really matter since there are only working two male people with her and way too much women.

Last one: found this one somewhere in Cookies' building. Another good example of how bad that telephone is. I want a Canon!

So, did you all enjoy my wonderful day?

Sinterklaas gave us duckies!!!

Hello my duckies! A couple of weeks ago Sinterklaas came to my family! He had presents for all of us, even for me! 3 kid duckies, for when I'm gonna play in the tub. They still have to learn a lot, I can tell ya that.

These little munchkins were also a present, they came with their own waterslide. So I am gonna have so much more fun in the tub!!
They also are very young and this afternoon I thought I should teach them how to solve a puzzle. Offcourse I did most of the work...
I also found me some time to teach the little duckies some new stuff, I read them a duckie book.
And since I am such a good storyteller I found myself telling the story to a whole bunch of other tubvisitors in just a few minutes.
I think I have found me a new hobby; telling stories to all the rubber friends overhere!
Sincerely,
B.D. Duck

Christmas is coming!

Hello Everyone! Me and Cody decided to start getting in the mood for the big holiday that happens around here this time of year. Here we are in front of some Christmas holly and some wintry branches and with a Christmas candle burning in the background. We even had our picture taken with the polar bear, donning her Christmas attire (a holly wreath). Doesn't she make the most beautiful Christmasy polar bear? We, and our owner, just love her. See how sweet she is? She let us cuddle up to her to keep nice and warm since there was snow on the ground. Well, as Santa Claus (and Sinterklaas?) says, "Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!"

Monday, December 10, 2007

Hi again,
It's been a while since my last post here. Sorry 'bout that.
Well now, I went for a walk with my human family some weeks ago.
We went to the woods, she had to take pictures of mushrooms. I found this
nice place to rest for a little while. I look great in nature don't I?

The two little kids really enjoyed carrying me around in the woods. The oldest one even let me sit with him on a wooden bench. Ain't that sweet?

I'm affraid that's all for now.
Sincerely,
B.D Duck

New Arrival!

Hi Everyone! My owner went to visit her daughter over Thanksgiving and discovered a little blue duck living there. I had been feeling like I needed a roommate who could speak my language so my owner brought home the little blue duck. I fell in love immediately! We named him Cody. As you can see he had a lot of friends at the daughter's house but he was ready to "move on to greener pastures". He had heard that "the pond is bigger on the other side of the fence". So we took him around the apt and gave him a grand tour. Here is a pic of us sitting on top of our DVR receiver in front of a picture of the polar bear (her name is Aspen) when she was a puppy. Too bad that glare is on the picture. Oh well, what can ya do.
Then we sat in front of the CD player. It looks small but it carries a relatively big sound.
Well, that's it for now. I think Cody is going to be happy living here with us. I hope you enjoyed meeting him!

Safety first

Hi everyone!!!

Pato and I are not overly concerned with safety. Our owners are very responsible and kinda take care of our safety. But we did thought it might be a good idea to know where the firemen can get water. We do not like fire, we do like water!!!

So we went on a walk and found very colorful fire hydrants. I guess firemen like to see pretty colors, maybe that explains why fire trucks are red and have all those colorful lights!!

First let me show you Pato's favorite.

Yes, I agree with Pato, orange is a very pretty color.

But Blue is also very pretty, as you all can see!!
And how about green!!

I really like green, so I like the green fire hydrant too!!!
And the last one we found was white......

Which also looked very nice.
I think it is very sweet of the firemen to color them soooo pretty!!
And I don't know why, but it makes me feel a lot safer, knowing that our whole town is filled with colorful fire hydrants!!

The season of autumn

Hi Everyone! This time of the year some people celebrate the season of harvest and it mostly involves corn and pumpkins. Here is a picture of me with the cornstalks and pumpkins my owner has displayed outside her door. You have to look closely because I am small and I blend in with the scenery. Then my owner let me sit in her autumn leaf wreath that she had hanging on her door.
AND THEN my owner took a picture with me and a statue of my friend, the polar bear. It was also surrounded by autumn leaves. I really like my friend the polar bear.
At harvest time people like to eat turkeys. The day that they do that on is Thanksgiving Day when everyone thinks and talks about all the things they are thankful for. Or at least that is what they are supposed to do. I am thankful for my owner who likes to take neat pictures of me in different settings. :0) Looks like I have some relatives in that picture I am sitting on front of!!
Then while on a walk with our friend, Bata, and her owner, we took some pictures of autumn scenes throughout our town. Isn't this a pretty tree? See how tiny I am next to it?

Yes, that is me, the microscopic yellow dot sitting in the middle of the doorway to the front porch of this awesome victorian house.

And last but not least, one more picture of me with an autumn/harvest scene in someone's front yard. Don't I look cute?
As you can see, lots of people around here "get into" the harvest season. It is my owner's favorite time of year (especially because of the colorful leaves and cooler temperatures). It has become my favorite time of year too. Happy Harvest to all of you!

Until next time,

I remain,

Pato
